After years of growing, this is an adult Trae. The skin/bark is incredibly hard. If a piece is cut off, it will continue to live. Commonly refered to as 'living wood', a cut apart Trae can be used as a hardy armor, and some have even linked many together to form spaceship hulls. Some races look down on cutting up Trae, as they are believed to be connected to the the Biogrove planets they grow on.
